The experiences
she imbibed from her childhood theatrical performances made her
fit and comfortable for any kinds of performances. After
finishing the show party of five she went on performing in many
movies like ‘Not another Teen Movie’, in which her character was
a spoof of Jennifer Love Hewitt's character from ‘Can't Hardly
Wait’. She also appeared in Eddie Murphy movie called ‘Daddy Day
Care’, ‘Lost in space’ and as a popular member of “The Plastics”
in the hit chick-flick, ‘Mean Girls’.
Lacey’s cute personality and theatrical excellence never let her
look back once she got started. She got opportunities to work
with huge stars like Eddie Murphy, Lindsay Lohan etc which
helped to increase her star value. And her cute voice brought
her opportunities to work in several animated projects like
Nickelodeon's ‘The Wild Thornberry’s’, ‘Family Guy’ and ‘Rug
rats Go Wild!’
Although she has got a teen star image, she always wanted more
out of her career and life. This is because many teen stars end
their career just as teen stars without doing something more
serious and satisfactory. She once said "I don't want to be a
teen star because so many people don't ever grow out of that."
And these words completely do justice to her quest as an actress
to conquer heights. Her crave for better and more serious roles
will sure make her selective but it will also help her to reach
a position where she want to be instead of incarcerating herself
in a teen actress image.
Ms Chabert recently appeared in a TV movie called ‘Hello Sister,
Goodbye Life’ (2006) which aired in ABC Family. And in 2006 she
also appeared in the remake of the classic horror movie ‘Black
Christmas’ and performed the voice of Princess Elise from the
game ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. She
was featured as a cover girl of Maxim Magazine (January 2007
issue). She won 2005 award for Best On-Screen Team for ‘Mean
Girls’ and won Hollywood Reporter's Annual Young Star award
twice(1997,98).
Lacey’s personal life is full of charm and activities. She is
interested in photography and loves to spend her time to guide
the youth towards creativity rather than wasting their time
inactively. She moved to Southern California in 1994 and now
lives there. She is a vehement follower of Jesus Christ and
states "Yes, I am a Christian. Jesus is the center of my life
and I give God the glory for everything, for all my success".
